Design Slam

This one-week design slam, in collaboration with Logitech, explored “the future of video,” with the aim of developing a realistic product for the next ten years that enables users to capture and share their surroundings.

As a group, we found it quite difficult to decide on a strong concept at the beginning. There were a lot of different ideas, and it took time to reach a final direction. Eventually, we agreed on a concept focused on ergonomics and user interaction, particularly using vibration signals to prompt the user when it was time to move on or shift focus.

Although we committed to this idea as a team, I personally felt that it didn’t fully meet the brief or push the idea of “the future of video” as strongly as it could have. This made the process more challenging from my perspective, as I wasn’t completely aligned with the final concept.

The presentation itself was not our strongest point. While it wasn’t a complete failure, it lacked clarity and could have been delivered more effectively. However, it was still a useful experience, especially in terms of understanding how to present ideas under pressure.

Overall, despite the challenges and some disagreements within the group, the design slam was a valuable learning experience. It highlighted the importance of clearer decision-making, stronger alignment with the brief, and better communication within a team.
