Finishing up 2nd Year

Now that the semester is coming to an end and all the modules are beginning to wrap up, I’ve been reflecting on everything I’ve learned and experienced over the past few months. It’s been a busy and sometimes intense period, but overall, it has been really rewarding.

One of the highlights for me was the Logitech Design Slam. Although it was challenging at times, I found it particularly insightful. It gave me a better understanding of how fast-paced collaborative projects can be, and it also helped me start thinking more seriously about what I want to focus on within my design education going forward. Experiences like that made the course feel much more connected to real-world design.

Across all the modules, I found that many of the projects pushed me in different ways. While some initially felt more relevant or engaging than others, looking back, I can see that each one contributed something valuable. Even the parts that didn’t seem as important at first ended up offering useful skills or perspectives. It made me realise that not everything is immediately obvious in its value, and sometimes the benefits become clearer over time.

Finishing up all the project work has been a relief, and now the main focus is on completing my SolidWorks exam. It feels good to be at this stage, knowing that the majority of the work is done.Overall, this semester has made me feel more excited about the future. It has helped me better understand my interests within design and what I might
want to pursue next. I’m looking forward to the next academic year and hoping to gain meaningful work experience along the way, building on everything I’ve learned so far.
